Another fun weekend

It's never too early to start cheering for his favorite team. Kevin spent Saturday watching the NFL Draft with his Dad. Go Broncos!

On Sunday Karen came to meet Kevin and we all went out for lunch.

Sunday night Kevin had his first real bath. We thought he would cry the entire time, but he behaved so well and seemed to enjoy it. I hope bath-time becomes a nice end to everyday.

Big Boy

Kevin passed the test with the pediatrician yesterday, he surpassed his birth weight. He now weighs 10 pounds, 7 ounces! This means, I no longer have to wake a sleeping baby to feed him. Here is a photo of Kevin chillin in his crib :) It makes us laugh when he has his arms up like this - touchdown!

Wonderful weekend

We all survived Dad's first week back to work - so this weekend Kevin spent a lot of time with his Dad. Kevin enjoyed hours in his stroller & lots of fresh air. Last night we were finally able to enjoy our deck, but Kevin missed the party because he slept through dinner.There is no better way to take a nap than by listening to the Cubs game:

2 weeks old

Kevin is 2 weeks old! We are all doing much better than last week. We learned that Kevin was not eating enough - that explains all the crying (by both Kevin & Mom). This week Kevin must eat every 4 hours to get back to his birth weight. It's difficult to wake a sleeping baby, but he needs to eat more to grow strong! He is going back to the doctor next week for a weight check, hopefully he will pass. Mom & Kevin are much more relaxed this week.

This week "Aunt" Barb was visiting from Iowa. She brought Kevin some very cute Hawkeye gear & very good advice for Mom.

First visit to Grandmom & Grandpop's house

Rookie Mom & Dad were worried because of the long car ride, but Kevin was a champ! He loves riding in the car (thank goodness). Yesterday was his first visit to Grandmom & Grandpop's house. A few neighbors came to greet Kevin too. He was on his best behavior, I think they will let him come back!

The weather is getting better here, we were able to take Kevin for a walk in the Baby Bjorn. Hopefully the snow is gone!

Getting out of the house

It finally stopped snowing yesterday so we were able to get out of the house for Kevin's first walk around the neighborhood. We went out for lunch then took Kevin to his first trip to Starbucks. We all felt much better after our walk, it's no fun to be cooped up in the house all day!

Life at home

We are slowly adjusting to life at home. Today we made our first field trip out of the house, to where else.... Target. I was so worried Kevin would scream throughout the store, but he slept the entire time. Here are some photos from today:

Tomorrow is Kevin's first pediatrician's appointment.

Yesterday was a big day, we came home from the hospital! Thank you to everyone who came to visit! We are doing well as we all adjust to our new life together.

It's a boy!!

Kevin Mitchell Stone was born April 4, 2007 at 9:44 am. He weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds 1 ounce and was 21 inches long! Mom and Baby are both doing great. Here are some pictures from his first couple days!
