Guess his weight game

Thursday is Kevin's 4-month doctor's appointment. Any guesses on his weight?
I will give a few hints:
-He is currently wearing 6/9 month clothes
-Our guess is that he weights 18 pounds!!!!!

Grandmom was here Friday & Saturday and we had so much fun with her! We took this photo just before she left yesterday. He is such a ladies man, already.

Back in the swing of things

Kev gave up his swing for a few weeks, he cried everytime we put him in it. Now, thankfully, he is a fan of it again. This allows me to atleast eat breakfast each morning while Kevin swings along.

Yeah, it's Friday and we are all so happy the weekend is here!!!

Weekend was busy...

Nate was in Iowa for a wedding this weekend. Nate was the Best Man so we figured he would be very busy with all the wedding duties, so Kevin & I spent the weekend with Grandmom & Grandpop. We sure missed Dad - especially at Kevin's bath & bedtime.
On Friday afternoon we went to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. It is such a beautiful place & lots of paths to wander so there were many strollers there. Saturday we went shopping & Kevin slept most of the time (sometimes that is not a good thing because then I can buy more shoes!). Nate made it home early this afternoon & we were all glad to see him!!!!

We are all going back to Iowa in a few weeks for a family wedding and look forward to introducing Kevin to lots of family & friends.

Just like Dad...

Finally, Nate was able to have Kevin help with his favorite Sunday activity - paying the bills! Those who know Nate well know that he is very meticulous with this & he hopes to teach Kevin early on.

Friday Fun

Yesterday was our New Mom's Group. We all decided to go out for ice cream & the babies slept most of the time!



Friday night Shari came over for dinner & Kevin joined us on the deck. The first time we wore the sunglasses a few months ago he did not like them. He liked them last night. This is one of those photos we can show to Kevin's future girlfriend some day and have a really good laugh!

3 months old

Kevin was 3 months old on the 4th of July! We went to Grandmom & Grandpop's house for the parade & picnic. He was in bed by the time the fireworks started, maybe he will see them next year. Kevin met Aunt Tanya & Uncle Dave.

Things we learned this month:
-He is very close to a "push-up" during tummy time.
-Kevin is very strong & can grasp his toy rings, and my hair!
-Kevin loves to giggle & laugh on our bed as we get him ready for bath time.

Mom's day out

Grandmom was given 4 tickets to the Cubs game today! Grandmom, Grandpop, Uncle Brian & I all went to the game. Nate & Kevin watched for us TV. After the game we all went out for dinner & gave Kevin his first lick of whipped cream.

Picnic

The weather was fabulous this weekend so we took Kevin to the park for a picnic. A friend I met at my new mom's group told me that she put her son in the swing when he was 3 months old so we decided to give it a try with Kevin. He didn't really react, he just seemed confused...
