Birthdays & early Valentine's party

Grandmom & PopPop came to visit us last weekend. They worked really hard around our house; stripping wallpaper, painting, hanging shelves, fixing toilets. We are so grateful for their help!


Sunday night we had a superbowl/grandparent birthday/early valentine's party. Here are some pictures:

26 week update

Baby BamBam is growing strong & doing great:

I had a doctor appointment yesterday, all is well. The doctor reminded me that Baby BamBam is measuring a few weeks ahead. No surprise here! I also passed the yucky glucose test which confirms that big babies run in our family, there is nothing I can do about it. It has nothing to due with gestational diabetes! I have an open invitation to set my c-section date, but I am still hoping it won't come to that point. In the end, I hope we will do what we did when Kevin; keep an open mind & go for the route the leads to a healthy baby & healthy mom (both of us all in one piece).

Kevin & Grandma Becky

Sadly, Kevin's Grandma Becky (Nate's mom) passed away last week. It was difficult to explain to Kevin what was happening. In the end, we told him that she is not sick anymore and she is in heaven. Kevin did not seem to notice anyone's sadness, but was very excited by all the visitors at our house last week. I though it would be appropriate to post a few photos of Kevin with his Grandma Becky.

Florida countdown

We can't take this weather anymore... the Florida countdown has officially begun!

First school pagent

On Monday Kevin's school hosted a Winter Gala. It was an afternoon where the parents could visit and watch the kids sing songs. We all enjoyed cookies & juice when it was over.

Kevin got the prime seat in his favorite teacher's lap. He loves Miss Sara.

Here are a few videos. It's hard to hear the words to the song, but they are singing "Herman the Worman". We were laughing so hard at their hand movements. Adorable!

I meant to post this a few weeks ago!

The post holiday blues of a two year old

Just wondering.... are anyone else's kids a total mess now that the Holidays are over? We can't tell if this is attributed to Kevin's age (peaking of his terrible two behavior) or due to the fact all the excitement from the Holidays is over and it's minus a hundred degrees here and we can't even go outside to play in the 20 inches of snow in our backyard!

One night this week at dinner Kevin asked me "who's coming over tonight"? To which, I responded, "just me Kev". "Oh" he said mildly. Happily, we kept very busy visiting with friends & family the last few weeks. All this holiday cheer kept Kevin up very late and he got to eat lots of extra treats.

Now it's back to reality. Reality is boring. There is not a constant stream of presents, cookies, fun family visitors, late nights & donuts in our reality. Here's to next year!

Thankfully, his behavior towards the end of this week has been better.
