Nate's birthday weekend

Today was Nate's birthday! We celebrated with dinner at the Skinner's house last night. The kids were very excited for the birthday cake and were close at hand to help Nate blow out the candles.

Perhaps one of the best presents Nate got was that Kevin did wonderful at potty training this weekend. For the past few weeks he's been very interested in it, very proud of his race car pull-ups. This weekend we finally took the pull-up off away. He's so proud of his new race car underwear that he didn't have any accidents all weekend! We are amazed! At first we were scared to leave the house (what to do if he goes in the car seat??? gross!), but today we ran errands and went out for lunch. He did great! I am wondering what will happen tomorrow when he's back at school amongst the chaos of all the other kids... I am sure those wonderful ladies can handle just about anything that gets thrown (or leaked) at them....

33 weeks and counting...

I had a checkup last week and got some good news from the doctor - this baby isn't measuring too big! In fact, I am right on target for 33 weeks. This is such amazing news to me and takes away some worries that this baby will be bigger than Kevin. I realize I have 6 more weeks to go and that's when most of the growth spurt happens, but for now, this is really making me relaxed about the entire ordeal. For the record, my guess is that we are having a girl! I have no facts to base this on, just that this baby is smaller and I have a few different symptoms. We'll see...

Weekend fun at our house

I have really noticed Kevin's imagination take off over the past few months. Friday afternoon he wanted to go on an animal hunt at our house. We turned off all the lights and hunted for stuffed animals with his flashlight. We found most of them in his room. He thought it was fun to line them all up and take pictures of what we found. This kept him busy for quite a while :)

Then he decided to play dress up. (I have to say that because Kevin is a boy, we don't have dress up clothes to play with. The best I could come up with were his old Halloween costumes).

Friday night we had a bunch of friends over for Nate's homemade pizzas. As usual, Kevin and the girls had fun running around together.


Nate was practicing what our lives will be like soon; holding a baby and chasing a 3 year old. Baby Zachary was such a good sport and never cried when Nate held him.

Sunday afternoon we all had lunch at Kevin's restaurant. He serves the best leftover pizza.

Florida pictures - part one

We had an awesome time in West Palm Beach last week.

This first photo is just bliss...

The weather was good, most days. On a few cooler days we took Kevin to a local Children's museum and to the mall. Needless to say, Kevin LOVED swimming in the pool! We were in the water as much as possible. Lucky for us, they kept the water very warm. I don't have any pool pictures of Kevin, I am waiting to gather those from Grandmom.
